Laura Juls Campo

With 38 years as a salon owner and an American Board Certified Master Colorist since 1998, Laura Jules Campo brings an exceptional depth of experience to hair color, corrective color, and styling.
​
Her advanced understanding of hair color chemistry and composition allows Laura to assess complex color situations, understand exactly what is happening within the hair, and determine the most appropriate direction while maintaining its condition and integrity.
​
For the client, that expertise means thoughtful recommendations, technical confidence, and a clear understanding of what can realistically be achieved.
Every appointment begins with a detailed consultation. Laura considers the client’s lifestyle, personal style, hair movement, condition, color history, maintenance, and desired result before recommending a direction. Clients understand what Laura sees, what she recommends, and why.

Laura is known for working with the natural architecture of the hair to create something completely individual for her clients. The hair works with the client’s lifestyle, features, and the natural movement of the hair, giving the client a really nice sense of self.

Her experience extends throughout the professional hair industry. Laura has educated hairdressers for KEVIN.MURPHY and Redken, teaching advanced color and styling throughout the United States. Her career has also included New York Fashion Week, professional hair shows, editorial and campaign work, photo shoots, and work on a movie set.

A Senior Cosmetologist, Laura has trained more than 50 stylists through her salon and continues her own professional education.
​
Her forthcoming book, It’s Not Just a Haircut, reflects a career dedicated to education, creativity, and advancing the professional hair industry.

JC Studio opened in picturesque Hunt Valley in 1988. Located in the Executive Plaza Buildings on the lower level, tucked away from the outside view, not even an outside sign would let you know the location. Keeping our anonymity has not kept us from creating excitement and keeping people wanting to know "Where exactly is JC Studio"? JC Studio is a place where creativity is always stirring.
